College of Native American Culture and Ceremonies

   
Footwear.  Different styles of moccasins will be discussed and how to make them. This class is taught from 11:00 to 11:50
Leggings, Breechcloths, and Aprons. Discussion on how to make them and what is right for your style of dance or ceremony. This class is taught from 10:00 to 10:50
Ribbon Shirts.  How to make a ribbon shirt and where to get the materials. This class is taught from 8:00 to 8:50
Quiver and Bow Cases.  This class will go through the steps to make a quiver and bow cases for both dance and ceremonial regalia.  The class will cover the different styles that were common on the historic Great Plains and Great Basin. This class is taught from 10:00 to 10:50
Traditional dancing.  Elements of Traditional style dance steps, songs, and outfits. This class is taught from 9:00 to 9:50
What is a warrior? Native American Warriors and how it pertains to you when dancing or performing ceremonies. This class is taught from 11:00 to 11:50
Beading This class is taught from 8:00 to 8:50, 9:00 to 9:50, and 10:00 to 10:50.
Wood Flutes: Learn about flutes and how to play them. This class will be taught from 8:00 to 8:50 and 9:00 to 9:50
Building A Ceremony Team. How to build and fine tune ceremony teams. This class will be taught from 9:00 to 9:50
Attending the Brotherhood ($12 fee). Answer the question “Are you ready to seal your membership in the Order”? This class will prepare an Ordeal member for Brotherhood. (The ceremony will take place later in the day.) ELKUTA is responsible for this class. This class will be taught from 10:00 to 10:50
College of Elangomat and Leadership Sciences
   
From Ordeal to Brotherhood. This class is for new Ordeal members beginning the road to Brotherhood. This class is taught from 9:00 to 9:50 
Elangomat Training. What are the duties and responsibilities of an Elangomat. How to ensure that each ordeal member becomes a brotherhood member. This class is taught from 8:00 to 8:50 
Chapter Leadership Symposium. Learn how to be an effective chapter leader through effective communication including a Roundtable Discussion for youth and adults.  on guiding and supporting the youth.  This class is taught from 11:00 to 11:50
Time Management for Youth.  How to plan, and get things done on time. This class is taught from 8:00 to 8:50 
Time Management for Adults.  How to plan, and get things done on time. This class is taught from 9:00 to 9:50 
Order of The Arrow Troop or Team Representative. What the OA representative does and why he is a vital member of the troop dynamics. This class it taught from 11:00 to 11:50 
Planning for a Successful Event.  Discussion on what is needed to plan and execute a successful event including how to create a 90 day plan. This class is taught from 9:00 to 9:50
Chapter Building. Resources, training officers, scheduling, setup elections, visitations, and ordeals are some of the topics we will be going through to help you build your chapter. This class is taught from 8:00 to 8:50 
Look who’s talking now. Communications between youth and adults, youth to youth, and adult to adult. Who is driving your chapter. This class is taught from 9:00 to 9:50 
Keeping your core. Brotherhood retention, Elangomat program, and the friend concept will be discussed in this course aimed at helping you keep your core membership. This class is taught from 10:00 to 10:50 
Finances and fundraising. How to make and keep your budget and how to do fundraising. This class is taught from 11:00 to 11:50 
Patch Trading. Learn how to trade, collect, and display different types of patches. This class is taught from 10:00 to 10:50 
College of Culinary Arts
Utensiless Cooking (2 hr class).. Come and learn the fine art of cooking over an open fire without the use of modern cooking gear. This class will be taught from 8:00 to 9:50 and 10:00 to 11:50
Beginning Dutch Oven (2 hr class). This is the class for the person who is just learning how to use a dutch oven…From easy to multiple ingredient meals. This class will be taught from 8:00 to 9:50 and 10:00 to 11:50
